More and more streams have some sort of restriction when it comes to fishing: max size, bag limit and of course: barbless. I’m tying up a row of barbless nymphs for the autumn trout fishing this year to get some experience with them. The color variations here with green/green and white/green really comes out good when they are wet

I was at a river this summer with a good mayfly hatch that left me speechless, I didn’t have much material with me, and I was fishing a stream with quite a bit of water flowing so I went for what is important: the profile. The tail and wings gives a powerful profile that the trout will hit. This fly landed me a couple of trouts and some serious takes from a couple more that trashed the water nicely! Heading back this autumn to do some more fishing in the same river and will pack a row of these.
The lighter is there for melting the tip of the polychenille (I rub it slightly between the fingers after applying some heat to give it a profile.
I got this picture of my G-Loomis Whispercreek #4 rod after landing a nice trout earlier this summer. The sun and rocks beneath it made it glimmer as I turned after putting it down to handle the fish, the light and clear water of the river was insane: going back there later this fall!
Summer trout 2013 – just back from a 2 week mountain/fishing trip. Going through “some” pictures that I will post later, safe to say: it was a good trip!
Looking through some pictures from earlier this year: the winter was breaking and I took the bus out to Fornebu, just 30min from downtown Oslo to try out the Seatrout. Didn’t get anything on this trip, but a great day after a long winter!
My current setup for seatrout: Guideline LPXe #6, Vision #6/7 reel and Guideline Coastal Fast Intermediate #6
This is the first year I have targeted seatrout, will focus on tying for that the comming winter
A must-have for cold winter days:
The ice was still on the shore
Some very nice places to target seatrout in the Oslo fjord, when the spring comes there are a lot of flyfishers in this area
