William Blacker: Standard Flies 28. The Emerald Fly

Tail: Grizzly, two fibers
Body: Emerald-green mohair, or silk
Front-hackle: Black-red
Wing: Starling, or bunting wing

The Emerald Fly from The Art of Angling by William Blacker. The one above is tied in hand on a vintage blind-eye hook, while the three below all are tied for fishing on Ahrex FW580 #10.

As close as I can get to “emerald-green”, with starling wing.
