I follow streamers365.com on planet.dryfly.me, and the other day a list of black ghost marabou in different color variations came up, so: I had to tie up some variations on this one to see how it is put together. The marabou should give a lot of movement in the water and the silver ribbed body can’t go wrong. Looking forward to test this in a river across a pool late at night.

Going to stop this pattern for a while now, but wanted to tie up the green highlander and the white version on the left side of the picture first. If you were standing on the river with these in the box, which one would you choose first?

Buzzers

A new style that I haven’t explored much before: buzzers. Got a bottle of Bug Bond today and had to open it up and test out how this works. As you can see on these first attempts the layering and application of bug bond to make it even is not very precise, but another few batches of these and they should turn out ok.

Line Cleaning

Been lazy so far this year, so friday night was time for some good Ægir beer and cleaning my lines. Also prepped a Scientific Anglers Airflo #4 line that I haven’t tested yet to try out later this summer when I head up to trout country!

From left to right: #6, #4, #1 and another #4, should cover my Norway summer-time trout/grayling fishing.

Wing: White Mallard Flank

The visual clue from the vinyl rib on this nymph is what I think is great: the red agains the green makes it very tasty. The mallard flank should also give a hint of life when it comes into the water. This could also be done with a tungsten bead and/or some led to get it deep, but I have too much of those in my box, so I needed this to be something that didn’t go down too quickly.
