Quick update this afternoon: 10 more sizes on 6 different hooks from Mustad:
I also added a new feature to search: if the search only returns 1 hook you will be taken directly to the hook.
Today was Mustad day, and I’m halfway through the ones I have.
In total 28 new pictures uploaded to flyhooks.org, and I have another 27 to go later this week if I get the time for it. Some hooks now have more than one picture, this is really showing the information that is gathered here: look at c71snp-ss that have 6 different sizes available to see how it evolves through the sizes.
Added new functionality tonight: if you are on a page with images of the hook you can now click on the image and get a gallery-view of all the sizes of that hook. Look at f314, for example.
Today the time was come to do some A.Jensen, Akita and Owner hooks (before I start on the large Mustad backlog). This makes it 82 hooks with images and a total of 134 sizes that have a closeup image.
Another day and 21 new pictures added to flyhooks.org, bringing the total number of images up to 100+
Today was Partridge day, with 19 new pictures, in addition I added one Daiichi and one Knapek hook. The ones standing out today was the CS54 above: the bend and strength on this one lends itself to shrimp and other seatrout patterns around here. The CZ below is one I haven’t had in my hands before, but stood out as a hook that needs to be bought and tied on; it is strong, got a very good nymph curve and is barbless. This is one I could tie up some nymphs for salmon on since it comes in sizes from #18 all the way up to #1/0
Here is one interesting new hook shape that I haven’t had the chance to tie on before: the Daiichi 1222:
Hooks with pictures today:
Next up is A.Jensen, Owner and Akita before a large batch of Mustad hooks will make its way to flyhooks.org
