Summers are bright in Norway, that means fishing-time is almost 24/7, also in the south!

Snowshoe Rabbit feet is not something I have worked a lot with, but here I am experimenting with a small caddis-like fly with different tag colors to see how they will behave and attract trout. The hair from the rabbit feet will be great for a vibrant wing, looking forward to taking this to the river tomorrow.
Hatching Caddis Variant
A variant of the Hatching Caddis from the other day, now with a Partridge Klinkhamer X-treme #14 hook and white foam to make it more visible. Also added some more CDC to make it come alive.
Trout
A good trout from earlier this summer, it was 30C outside and scorching hot, but the trout was hiding under some trees that cast a shadow over the river we were camping next to. Took a white/green CDC&Deer
Trout in the tunnel
I don’t own a car, so living in Oslo with access to public transportation I love the fact that places like this is available within a very short travel from downtown Oslo. The day was spent drinking coffee next to the stream, fishing for small trout with this quill & hackle pattern, but when I got to this tunnel (it goes underneath a road) I was stuck… I tried a lot of differnent midges and mayflies, but nothing would appear or be interested in anything. Then I put on a white/green variation of the CDC&Deer and instantly I had 3 trouts on: all taking just in the exit of this tunnel.
With all the foam you had to hit outside the patches of white, if not the fly was just hidden by it.
For rivers like this (if you get a 500g trout here it is big!) I bring my Sage TXL-F #1 and Click 1. A great combination to get out those #18/#22 with a 6x/7x tippet underneath branches and trees along the river.
